Great News:
It’s Creative Schools Week (November 4th – 8th)
We have a busy week ahead.
On Tuesday, November 5th Rang 1 – Rang 4 will be taking off to Cork City Hall to Cork Pops Orchestra. This event organised by CIT in Cork and in association with Cork County Council and RTE Lyric FM is headed by musical director Evelyn Grant. The theme this year is called Love Live Music and this years chosen pieces are inspired by nature. It’s an amazing experience for the children as they get to watch an Orchestra perform live. They also get to sing along to the music with guest performers. Parents/guardians can also get further information on the event at this link http://www.corkpops.ie/site/concerts-schools-nov-19/. Back at school the children from Rang 5 & 6 will be working alongside the infants to create Art work and write Creative stories.
On Wednesday, November 6th, there will be Art stations in the hall where children will be invited to select a medium (paint/pencil/marker/ chalk pastel/ crayon/ marbling oil) and create an image.
On Thursday, November 7th some of the children’s Creative Work will be displayed in the hall; Poems, Stories and Art Work. All the classes will have the opportunity to come out and view each others work on Friday. It will be a great opportunity to share their Creative Skills and inspire one another.
Finally on Friday, We have a visiting Theatre Group coming to perform “The Bluebird of Happiness” for us all. Another live performance for the children to enjoy!
